I'm planning to watch The Importance of Being Earnest which stars yummy Rupert Everett and Colin Firth today... so I just popped in before I head off to the great MV for that movie I've always wanted to watch.... =) will tell you how it compares to the play (if you have watched it) and post up a review once I've seen it okay?

Okay now I'm in British Council, the new one at Wisma Selangor Dredging... and the place is simply cool...

This is the first time I'm not blogging from home, which is good, because I'm not spending any money for the phone. I'm at my faculty's comlab and unfortunately, this bloody keyboard's kinda sticky and stubborn.... yucks...

I should promise myself NOT to talk about Harry Potter anymore, since my last four posts were all about him..... oh dear.... here I go again, anyway the above mention of his name will be the last for a long long time to come.

There's a silly error on my Nuskin authorization card and I'll be heading down to Darby Park today to get that fixed. I'm still juggling between using the NaPCA mosturiser or the Enhancer... the latter is supposed to be for oily / combination skin (which is mine), but NaPCA is so silky and nice to use .... anyway NaPCA is much more expensive so I guess ultimately I'll have to think of my finances, which is not very encouraging.

You know I spent RM 25 just to xerox those forms for the research project? Its going to be even tougher reading the results, I know but I guess I'll just have to get down to it....

Gotta go now... I've crapped enough to move on...

I did behave very much like a Potter supporter, didn't I? Now is that a good thing, or a bad thing? I wonder. I know I was very pissed when I read Weekender's review of the movie. I'm not saying the movie is perfect, but maybe the reviewer ought to re-read his critique before handing it to the editor, and the editor should realise the reviewer doesn't write in a proper flow... Harry Potter a great adaptation, and aren't we often looking for true-to-book adaptations instead of cheesy, horrid rush-rush stuff (like Sorcerer's Stone?)....

I went shopping in Mid Valley today, and well... everything's a bloody lie. Only 10% of the stores were having their sale, so there goes those stupid ads that tell us about the Great Malaysian Sale (supposedly beginning today until the 31st of December)... and I couldn't find a single dress that would suit me for the coming Appreciation Nite... I saw one in Topshop but my lumpy bits (around my hips) were protuding around the shiny material... so that wouldn't do.... Especially since dearest Mama decided to talk about my fatness for the WHOLE DAY!!!! ... URGH ..... Now I have to wake up at 6 tomorrow to JOG... Yucks...

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Well... I finished the whole game... took me about 8 hours to find the Chamber of Secrets (everything in Moaning Myrtle's loo is exactly designed like in the movies including the opening to the chamber...) and still I can't find the 40 silver cards ... I've only just located 15... which is BAD... which is why I'm playing some of the challenges again...

If a short review is asked for, I would say this about the game. Its not that difficult for adults, because the spell charms are pretty easy to play with, compared to the first one where you had to trace the spells with the mouse, this one simply requires you to click the arrows on the keyboard (silly me realised this after flunking the Rictusempra spell class). The cool thing about the beans is right now you get to DO SOMETHING WITH THEM, unlike in the first game where bean collecting was almost pointless. I'm trying to catch hold of the Nimbus 2001 broomstick which is with Fred (or izzit George?) for 700 beans, and I already have 635 beans. I had over a 1000 before this, but I used 500 of those for a Quidditch Armor like those worn by the Chudley Cannons... I know I know, this is fast turning into a little text full of Potter-ology. I think the treasure hunt thingy is A LITTLE OUT OF HAND for kids, after all Harry Potter is first and foremost, a children's book ... although its functions are really cool, like getting an extra life with every 10 Bronze cards (I found 40 so I have 5 lives including the first one which was given) ...The graphics are a BIG IMPROVEMENT from the first game... which is good. Gameplay is slightly easier in parts, especially in the last bit... its easier to overcome the Basilisk than it was to overcome Lord Voldemort himself in the previous game ( Sorcerer's Stone)... but its more difficult in the hunts and challenges because of the timer and the stupid hidden secrets... I've only found 7 out of 10 and I have to find another 30 silver cards to open a strange door in the Hogwarts castle. Quidditch is now BORING in this game, unlike in the first one. And its a bit disappointing on the absence of a broomstick chase part ... The first game had you as Harry chasing Draco with broomsticks to retrieve the Remembrall and that was REALLY COOL... like a Star War's podracer scene.

What I like most about THIS GAME is of course the design of the Hogwarts castle, which obviously took the designers more effort than they did for Sorceror's Stone. There are moving staircases, just like in the movie, and you get to visit the Gryffindor and Slytherin Common Rooms, also Dumbledore's chambers and the infirmary, the dungeon where Snape resides, and all of the classrooms. All these weren't present in the previous game.

Well... you have to try it for yourselves. If you do find all the cards, just drop me a clue or two okay?

Harry Potter, Harry Potter .... I played the game!! ( wonder if it isn't launched yet, actually!!) and its tonnes better than last year's with better graphics and more challenging (really challenging for a kid) stuff... Plus if you fully install it u can ditch the CD immediately... PLUS there's stuff to buy and trade in, duelling charms (can you say Rictusempra!!!) and you get to fling those noisy Gnomes!!!! And this time, unlike the first game, its for 'everyone' so even adults (like yours truly) will find the challenges quite challenging, and lookin for those secret areas and trading cards quite difficult... aih!!!

There goes my next week's plans for books and studies... i'm off to make some Wiggenweld Potion... uhuh.... Flippendo to you too!!

Harry Potter... Harry Potter... has grown up... and I don't like him. At least, I hate Daniel Radcliffe I dunno why... and I'm having a crush on Lord Voldemort of all people... SERIOUSLY, the guy who plays Voldemort in the movie is really, really handsome !! Really cute... EEEE I wonder what his real name is...

Anyway, he's probably under 20 and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy out of my league... (like I have one lah) -- oops, pek yong you didn't see that ;)

And so the final semester has finally kicked in. I went to school rather early yesterday, got in queue to receive the dreaded results slip (did so-so only this sem, appealing for reviews in two subjects BECAUSE I KNOW I DID WELL) and walked around the campus like a 'dungu who overslept during the holidays and cannot keep my too eyes open as a result'. When the new semester starts, it also means that I have to spend more $$ which is a bad thing, I have to drive a lot which is a bad thing, I have to study harder which is a bad thing, I have to do my assignments which is a bad thing, I have to count the days till the next holidays which is a bad thing .....nothing's good when the new semester start ... except maybe, I get to meet my friends from around Malaysia again ... the holidays was basically spent emailing and rotting on my bed, working on NLDS till my eye bags become permanent and , and, forgetting about my coursemates.

I'm not really that close to my coursemates. After all, I switched streams during the 2nd semester, got rid of that horrid science business and landed myself in this Bachelor of Arts programme. I'm not complaining. I have AIESEC and most of my friends come from there, jaga-ing Pek Yong and my mommy is enough horrid business already and I have my friends from school and other places... so I'm not that close to my coursemates except when it comes to certain classes. If all goes well, I'll get my degree within 2 1/2 sems and this semester will be the end of UPM for me... unless of course I plan to do my masters in the same university (which is of course, only if I get a tutorship in the university)....

Well, studies is a horrid thing they say, but when you get out working is even worse. They say when you retire life gets monotonous and yucky as well as you sit and wait to die. Human beings are never satisfied, aren't they?

Today I typed my name in Google search to see what goodies it might bring back. Well... apart from links to the sites where I have left my mark ( including guestbooks where I've signed my name and of course yours very own truly 'Big Little Thots' ) and I found several links that are out of my league really. I'm just going to paste some of those links here...:

That'll do for today.

After 2 1/2 months of intensive blogging, I've found my award for such dedication. Abashedly found an old, long, lost classmate (when you're 22, 6 years of separation is a long time) through surfing the net!! Ain't that quaint or what? Plus the disnerving sense that Ken might not be my only long lost friend...

I wonder how far will my blogging journeys take me?

Some of you didn't know my boyfriend yet...

you snatched my toys!!

Today's short bursts of mind energy:

Surfing around brings a reasonable discovery sometimes. Like today's incredible site of the day .. some of the guys should be interested in finding out what the sexiest sentence in the world is, and by going there I assure you that you will definitely NOT be disappointed.

Somebody asked me why I'm here so often. As usually I asked him in return: you're here as often as I am, and I'm not asking you why you're here. I thought that was a rude answer, so I'm answering him again here. You dunce!! I'm on holidays thats why. The term only starts on Monday. After Monday it'd be hard to see me on icq or msger... so shouldn't you be glad I'm here as another chat partner to keep you company?

Some readers may want to know if I'd still blog often when the term starts... after all, when Monday knocks, it'll be the final semester, which means I have to start pushing myself to work on that damned research and my darned studies. So ... well ... my promise to them goes like this: "My blog is 1/4 of my life, so yes you'll see entries. Don't run."

What makes up the remaining 3/4s of my life then?
1. My own life
2. My family
3. My boyfriend.

My friends may feel subordinated but I hereby announce that this feeling is uncalled for. I have included you guys within the 1st category: my own life. Which again, means, as they always say: "My friends are my life".

I'm mighty pleased with the way the new BRATs website is handling. Especially the forum section. More people, more young people should participate in it. Take my word for that.

Sunday, November 3

Today is Sunday. Today I had hi-lunch in Darul Ehsan Club somewhere near Ukay Heights. The lunch was huge. I had satay and some other Malaysian 'delights'. The food was not too good... the icecream tasted horrible and the salad was slightly sour. The wonderful part is we didn't have to pay as it was on vouchers... Oh well... That's the last time I'm headed there.

I'm trying to sound a bit more normal. My friend Davin ICQed me that I'm beginning to sound like a schizophrenic in my blogs. He doesn't specify which entry though... but thats a bit worrying, especially after A Beautiful Mind.

I'm trying very, very hard to make this posting normal. There... I think its normal...

Whoa... that's me??? Take the test!!

I lack humour. I try very hard to make people laugh but at the end of my jokes the only person that laughs is me. I wish I could inject a little humour into this site. Like... how long can any regular visitor continue his/her regular visits if all I give them are boring, meaningless rantings of my mostly insignificant life? Almost every 22 year old girl is dating a witless huge guy who knows how to give her nice teddy bears if she's smart enough to beg for them, subtly of course. Almost every other 22 year old girl who goes to university in a reasonably developed country owns a car and a cellphone. Almost every 22 year old person who knows how to surf the net has emotional problems. So what's so cool about reading about my stupid life in the first place?

Am I being utterly moronic? The moment I called my life 'stupid' just now.. I realise I must be an idiot. MY LIFE IS WONDERFUL!! Who said it was stupid?

Wait... that was me!!

In the meantime... I'm GOING to write that story. I need to write the story. I've put it off for months now... and its about time I got back to it...

Friday, November 1

Question to no one in particular:

Which do you prefer? A chronicle taping about my insignificant life in the barest flesh? Or a fictionalised taping of my life in its faked exciting moments?

My wild imaginations, lost in the wilderness during the weeks I was too busy living life to the fullest has come back to me. Which means:

1. I am back to my old moody self..
2. My relationship is going to go back to its quarrelsome nature
3. My brain is in working order...
4. My nightmares are about to make their return journey...
5. Work has to begin...

Is this good or bad?

we hope she's getting better...

Narcissistic, just like you. Otherwise, you'd like to think she's living a better life than you are. Walk on for the future.
